Ohana is a fully online school catering to children with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, and other neurodiverse profiles. With small class sizes, specialist-trained teachers, and a curriculum that prioritises individual strengths and wellbeing, Ohana aims to transform educational outcomes for children often underserved by traditional schooling.
“Too many neurodiverse children are left behind or misunderstood in mainstream education,” said Charu Kashyap, founder of the “O” Group, which encompasses Ohana and Odyssey Schools. “Ohana is the Hawaiian word for family. It means that no one is left behind or forgotten — and our mission is to ensure that every child can learn in the way that works best for them.”
Ohana complies with UK educational standards and is open to children aged 8 to 18, nationwide.
Enrolment for the 2025–26 academic year is now open. Introductory webinars for interested families begin in July 2025.
Parents, educators, and policymakers have welcomed the school’s launch as a timely and necessary evolution in inclusive education.
“This initiative is exactly what so many families have been waiting for,” said Sandra Rey, Head of Ohana. “It recognises that equity in education means meeting children where they are — and giving them the tools to thrive.”
